Community Volunteers

We have an incredibly dedicated group of people from our community who work as full time volunteers at the Ubomi Obutsha Centre,

Some are retired and some were once beneficiaries of the project who now, rather than doing nothing at home or even falling back into old habits, spend their time giving back by working at the Ubomi Obutsha Centre.

We have been able to provide specialised training for some, and all have a set responsibility ranging from cook to storeroom manager, community childcare worker to Educare teacher, admin clerk to garden worker.

“If you do away with the yoke of oppression, with the pointing finger and malicious talk, and if you spend yourselves on behalf of the hungry and satisfy the needs of the oppressed, then your light will rise in the darkness, and your night will become like the noonday."
